About Me

I am an aspiring computer scientist and I'm looking for Summer 2021 Internships.

Since before I could remember, I've always loved building things and figuring out how things work. It started out with Legos, and as time passed by the engineer in me evolved that led me to take the Elements of Mechanical Engineering in high school, then onto Electronics during Junior College where I created various Raspberry Pi and Arduino Projects which gave me a chance to get my hand into programming things by myself. And now, I'm studying Computer Science and Mathematics. I've always been interested in technology; and seeing technology evolve everyday so rapidly has motivated me more to become someone that will someday be able to contribute to this industry and I think time has come now for me do it. And also, I like to be up to date on my knowledge of Tech industry and all of my interests; which helps me get the most out of me everytime.

Some other interests of mine: Travelling, Listening to Music, Politics, Scuba Diving, Businessy Stuff (such as: Startups, Investing, Trading, VCs, Banking, Real Estate, etc.).

Personal Projects

Salhotra Quant Challenge Project

This was a collaborative task led by the project manager (me); where we had to brainstorm investing ideas, code the algorithm, apply mathematical skills and come up with mathematical modelling concerned with financial markets.

What I did: Created algorithm to trade gold-backed assets in response to changes in overall volatility market data by using Quantopian API and Sklearn to build model to estimate price changes.

Technical: Had to use Quantopian with Python and Sklearn.

Backtesting: For the result of last backtesting of the Algorithm click below.

Speak to Note

Speak to Note is a program written entirely in python3 which is built on the concept of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and uses libraries such as speechRecognition, Pyaudio and also uses the bleeding edge technology offered by Google Cloud Speech API. This program enables one to just Speak to Note down everything which is just amazing. More features to be added soon for overcoming the shortbacks due to Google Cloud Speech API and making it more awesome than it is now.
